2024-25 OES Student Leadership Officers

This week, we celebrated the incredible journey of our Pre-K students! They took the stage beaming with pride as they marked the completion of a wonderful year filled with laughter, learning, and growth. From their first steps into the classroom to the confidence they have now, we've watched them blossom into curious learners ready to take on Kindergarten!
Join us in congratulating these young scholars as they embark on their next adventure. The future is bright, and we can't wait to see all the incredible things they will achieve!

Mrs. Burton’s class won first place at the annual Field Day yesterday. All classes exhibited great team work and encouraged one another to do their best and enjoy the day. Thank you to Coach Stevens and Coach Berg for making this possible.

Reminder that OES is having their yearbook signing day tomorrow! Please make sure the yearbook has the student's name in it before sending it to school!

Orangefield Elementary's Leisa Miller received the prestigious Wayne A. Reaud Excellence in Education Award Tuesday evening. Mrs. Miller serves as a science teacher and the 5th grade team leader. She is pictured receiving her award from the new president of the Reaud foundation, Reagan Reaud, and with her principal, Julie Fuller.

Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Teacher and Paraprofessional of the year!

What is 2D, flat and fits together perfectly?…TESSELLATIONS! Ms. Austin & Mrs. Mendoza’s 5th grade math classes created Tessellations to demonstrate repeated patterns. They worked very hard and showed immense creativity for this project. Here are a few amazing examples!

Pre-K has learned about insects! They learned about ants, bees, ladybugs, butterflies, and other insects. The students were able to see and learn all about the lifecycle of the butterfly. Today, the students released their butterflies and enjoyed watching them fly away to their new homes.

Kindergarten ended their study on Amphibians with their annual frog jumping contest today!
All frogs were released back into their natural habitat after the event.

It's not too late to join all of the fun at the Mother/Son Glow Party! Tomorrow, April 26th, is the last day to sign up! See flyer for details.

Mrs. Stelly's 1st grade students completed their very first research paper. The students had to check out a book about their favorite animal, research on the Chromebooks, learn to use Google Docs, type their paper, and finally, search for a directed drawing of their animal so that they could draw a picture to go along with their paper. It was also a fun way to use the skills they have learned in their new computer technology class at OES.
