Kindergarten wrapped up their learning about the letter G with a Glow Party!
Students from Mrs. Angelle's, Mrs. Best's, and Mrs. Verrett's 3rd-grade science classes participated in a Matter Science experiment to conclude their unit. They combined vinegar (liquid) and baking soda (solid) to create a gas, resulting in inflating their balloons. They also recorded their data, following the steps of the scientific method!
Alumni Kaci Wright joined Mrs. Michael's class to speak about community helpers. She reviewed dental hygiene and how to keep teeth clean and healthy!
OES Parents: We are already accumulating a number of items in our lost and found. If any of these items belong to your child, please reach out to their homeroom teacher and we will try to get them sent home today. Also, please label all clothing and lunch kits with your child's name. Thank you!

Attention Pre-K Parents:
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, August 26th, Pre-K students and their siblings will be picked up at the east pick-up location (near the cafeteria). The line runs similar to the back pick-up line. Form two lines on the loop and remain in two lines for student pick-up at the gates.
The Golden Triangle Polymers Project donated several needed school supplies to Orangefield Elementary. The supplies were presented by Nicole Melton with Zachry Construction and Landry Choate Jenkins with Chevron Phillips Chemical. A huge thank you for GTPP’s generous donation.

Use the shortest line. It doesn't matter which location you use. We will help your kids find their way. Secondly, please have your kiddos ready to exit the vehicle when pulling up to a gate. This will help for a speedy exit. See you all tomorrow!🧡

It was a great day to be a Bobcat at OES! Tomorrow students may be dropped off at the east or north side of the campus beginning at 7 am. Afternoon pickup will run the same as today. Please remember to keep your car tag in the window until you have your student(s). We can't wait to see all of you tomorrow!
Tomorrow, August 14th, is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! We are so excited to kick-off the 2024-2025 School Year. Only Pre-K and Kindergarten parents may walk students to class. All other students need to be dropped off either on the east side or back side of the elementary. Doors open at 7 am. See you all tomorrow!
Please review the map for drop-off and pick-up locations and traffic patterns. Students may be dropped off at either location in the morning. For dismissal, Pre-K, K, & 1st (and any older siblings) will be picked up in the back of the school (north). 2nd-5th grades will be picked up on the east side of the campus.
