Our fifth grade recently embarked on an incredible journey without ever leaving their classroom seats! In Technology rotation, they explored the wonders of Google Earth by completing a scavenger hunt. Students uncovered hidden treasures of geography and history. The hunt wasn't just about finding locations on a map; it was a journey of discovery, connecting students with distant places and diverse cultures.
First grade celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with a Crazy Sock day!

As an extension of our Solar System Unit in Science, 3rd grade students created planet projects researching a planet in our solar system. They created a 2-D or 3-D model of their planet and also completed a written report about their planet. Students then presented their projects to their classes. Their projects were stellar!

Orangefield ISD was thrilled to receive several new STEM educational products from United Way of Orange County through a special community foundation grant that they received from International Paper. These STEM items will help our young students by strengthening critical thinking, building confidence, promoting brain development, enhancing fine motor skills, and more.

January 2024 UIL Results
5th grade raced against the clock by working together to write a program, one instruction at a time, in their Relay Programming lesson in Technology. Teamwork is very important in computer science. Teams write and debug code with each other, instead of working as individuals. This activity showed students to work together while trying to be as efficient as possible.
