Orangefield Junior High is home to the hardest-working staff in Texas! Our faculty work tirelessly to provide a safe, effective learning environment for each and every student. Many of our faculty received nominations for this spotlight, but we want to take the time to specifically highlight one of our hardest workers: Gerald Rach. Mr. Rach takes care of every light bulb, outlet, and door knob on our campus. Not only does he do everything for our building, he also works to serve the entire district. We are blessed to have somebody like Mr. Rach on our side who is capable of fixing anything we need fixed. Thank you Mr. Rach for your continued hard work!

Attention OJH Parents and Guardians: Reminder that our campus will not accept deliveries of flowers, chocolates, gifts, etc. This includes holidays such as Valentine's Day or in preparation of events such as tryouts or awards ceremonies. We appreciate your understanding as we work to create a focused and fun learning environment!
OJH Student Council presented a check for $964 to the organization "Be Blessed". Be Blessed sponsors local schools' efforts to send food home with students over weekends, during the summer, and on holiday breaks. StuCo raised these funds through fundraisers, such as our yearly turkey costume contest.

OJH Boys Basketball:
Thursday all four teams finally got to take the floor and managed to get the clean sweep against Mauriceville in front of the home crowd.
DaBabinator and his crew took the floor first winning a one sided affair 19-0. Babin was unmerciful as he unleashed his suffocating press the entire game. Remy McClure led the team with 5 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Liam Willams and Kole Knox each scored 4 and gave quality minutes the entire game. Ainsley Skibo and Bolt Garner played stellar defense keeping the Panthers at bay and not giving them any opportunities to score.
The 8th grade B team was up next and continued the winning ways by putting up 11 in the first and never taking their foot off the gas winning 17-6. Cullen "Wild Wild" West led the team in scoring with 7. He was helped out by Rhys Fenner and Andrew Bland who each chipped in 4. Cash "The Cash Money Show" Sims made his presence felt under the goal, almost having a double double in blocks and steals.
"Battle Axe" Barbay and his District Champion 7th graders looked to keep their season going strong as they rolled through district undefeated with 1 game still remaining. They did what they normally do and came out strong defensively, setting the tone and getting a big lead. It was all gas and no brakes for this group as they scored double digits each quarter and cruised to a 57-25 victory. Lexon Detwiler led the team with 16 and had his usual accompaniment of Landon Agerton scoring 11. Kreed Spears manned the paint and handled all the dirty work, grabbing the boards and making all the right passes.
The 8th A team was looking to finish out the season strong for their final 2 games. They came out shooting an atrocious percentage to start the game missing easily their first 15 shots. After a quick time out to regroup and lock in they went on to win 35-11. Leading scorer was Kaysen Click with 10. Kaleb Flory, Austin Erickson, and Kolston Robinson each had 5 a fueled the big run made by the Bobcats early on.
