Check out our 8th graders showing off their cell organelle projects!
Students chose a project from a choice board and created amazing models and presentations to show what they learned about cell organelles.
Their creativity and effort really brought the cell to life—great job, y’all! 👏

Congratulations to Orangefield Junior High students Kaysen Court and Logan Campbell for earning the fourth six-week period's "Awesome Attendance Awards"!
Any student with two or fewer absences during the six-week grading period is eligible for the first attendance award. Kaysen maintained exceptional attendance and will receive a laptop for his consistent positive presence!
The second award recognizes a student from the grade level with the highest overall attendance. Our 8th grade class edged out the 6th and 7th grades in a VERY tight race. Logan, an 8th grader with outstanding attendance, is taking home a drone for his dedication to learning.
Great job, Kaysen and Logan !

Orangefield Junior High is home to the hardest-working staff in Texas! Our faculty works tirelessly to provide a safe, effective learning environment for each and every student. Many of our faculty members received nominations for this spotlight, but we want to take a moment to specifically highlight one of our hardest workers: Elaine Blacksher. Mrs. Blacksher has been a long term substitute on our campus for many occasions. From math, to science, to study skills, and more, Mrs. Blacksher shows up and puts in hard work routinely for our campus. It is because of dedicated substitutes such as Mrs. Blacksher that our hardworking teachers can take needed time off while knowing our students are still in good hands. Thank you, Mrs. Blacksher, for your continued hard work!
