Our 7th B lost in 2 sets with Sadie Arrington leading in serves and Aria Lee and Kayla Rios Villarreal leading in serve receives. District record of 3-3 as we head into our last 3 games of the season.

The 8th Grade B Team had a great team win in two sets. Emma Lecea and Kyliegh Kresser led the way serving, while Kinzlee Peveto and Arielle Walters were strong in the back court. Emma Lecea, Adley Burch, and Trinity Spain brought the attacks at the net. It was a great team effort! The Lady Bobcats improve to 5-1 on the season. (15-12)(15-10)

The Lady Bobcats showed tremendous growth in the first set, coming together with strong communication and trust in one another! Ford led the team in attacks and added two blocks, while Pollet led in serves and assists. The entire back row played a strong first set, passing with precision. Although the Lady Bobcats fell to the Lady Horns in two sets, their teamwork and progress were exciting to see!
8A
Our 8A had a great showing of team play with a 2 set win (25-22, 25-21). Leading in serves was Jesse Gautreaux with 8, Austyn Spain, Kamryn Farias and Raegan Gallien and Rylie Peevey all followed with 5 each. Emmie McFatter led in kills with 5, while Austyn Spain had 3. Total team attacks totaled 29, which is a testament to their aggressive game play. Jesse Gautreaux led in blocks, with 3. The backcourt was protected by Lily Traxler, Rylie Peevey, Tenley Kibodeaux and Kamryn Farias. 8A improves to a 4-2 District record.

Thursday, October 15th, OJH students will have the opportunity to compete in a paper rock scissors contest. The morning of the 15th students will be able to purchase up to five bead necklaces for $1 each. They will then compete with their peers the last five minutes of every class period with the ultimate goal of being able to challenge a teacher. Beads won from a teacher will earn you a spot in the finals, which will be played during the pep rally that day.
Please remember that students who dress-up still have to be in dress code.

Ms. Benton's 8th grade Principles of Agriculture classes built the 4th annual Mega Mum for Homecoming. This year's mum stands at an impressive 24 feet, and took 109 students, 5 days of teamwork, 1,400 coffee filters, 40 feet of twinkle lights, and a whole lot of Bobcat pride to come to life!
From the club emblems woven into the bubblegum braid, to the "We Believe" message running on the loop chain down the middle, and the 100-year logo proudly featured on the "Go Bobcats" ribbon, every detail tells a story of our students, our school, and our Bobcat spirit.
A "MEGA" well done to our students who created this year's mum! Happy Homecoming, Bobcats!

The Lady Bobcat 7B volleyball team fell to the Kountze Lionettes in two sets. The final scores were 15-8 and 15-11. Taylor Quinn led the way with two aces and a block, while Sadie Arrington added an ace and Aria Lee contributed a kill. The Lady Bobcats will look to build on their efforts and continue improving as the season moves forward.

The 8th Grade B team came out strong and took care of business with a straight-sets win, 15–10 and 15–9! Kinzlee Peveto dominated at the service line with 7 aces, while Arielle Walters added 2. On the attack, Emma Lecea and Arielle Walters delivered key hits to keep the momentum going. Trinity Spain had a block, as well as other great play at the net. Blakely Peveto added an attack. Great teamwork, strong serves, and smart plays led to a solid team victory! The Bobcats improve to 4-1 on the season.

The Lady Bobcats fell in two sets, and we know there is still plenty of room to grow. Lola Fox led the team with two service aces, Avery Ford led our front-row attacks, and Allisson Powell and Reese Richard led the back-row defense. We’ll keep working and learning together!

The 8th Grade A team ended the night with a 3 set win over the Lionettes. (16-25, 25-18,15-1) Leading in attacks is Kamryn Breaux with 4 kills, followed by Raegan Gallien with 3 successful attacks and 3 assists. Maisyn Revia had 2 assists, while Tenley Kibodeaux had one. Highlight of the match was Rylie Peevey in the 3rd set from the service line. Her dominant serves sealed the 15-1 win! With the win, the district record improves to 3-2 for the season.

Starting the night off against the Buna Cougars with a win was our 7th Grade B Team. 15-13, 11,15, 15-13) Contributions were shared by Sadie Arrington, Emilia Cole, and Aria Lee at the service line. Katniss Mendenall had the match winning serve to seal the win! Taylor Quinn contributed an attack, while also having a successful serve receive in the back row.

Bobcats 8th grade B team had a back and forth 3 set loss. 15-13, 16-18, 4-15. Kinzlee Peveto and Adley Burch both led in serves. Emma Lecea and Olivia Cole led in serve receives. Raygan Brooks and Lecea had a kill each with Kaydence LeBlanc providing 2 assists.

Our 7th grade A team faced a talented Cougar squad losing in straight sets 22-25, 15-25. Allisson Powell was phenomenal in the back court as she had 8 serve receives and 3 digs to keep score close in the first set. At the service line, Berkley Pollet led with 2 aces and 7 total serves. Brooklyn Mansfield and Avery Ford also had a great showing behind the line. Rylie Roberts brought highlights in her attacks, with 4 well placed attacks and 2 beautiful kills. This team continues to learn and grow together.

Our 8th grade A team is starting to click as they seal the win against the Cougars in just 2 sets (25-16, 25-22). Leading in serving was Rylie Peevey, with 3 aces. The back court was defended by Kamryn Farias, Rylie Peevey and Tenley Kibodeaux and Lily Traxler, giving our Bobcats saves to keep us ahead the whole match. Leading at the net was Austyn Spain with 2 kills and 3 attacks. Jesse Gautreaux and Emmie McFatter contributed a kill each. Defending the net with a block each was Tya Hughes and Christina Doucet. Our setters for the match Raegan Gallien and Kamryn Breaux had a combined 5 assists. This win was a showcase for the growth this team has made.
This win gives them back to back wins as we travel to compete in the PNG tournament this weekend to keep it going!

The Lady Bobcats battled their way to an exciting victory, winning in three very close sets! The team showed tremendous determination, teamwork, and composure throughout the match, finding a way to come out on top when it mattered most. Sadie Arrington delivered the winning serve to seal the victory! Arrington also contributed 2 aces and a kill, making key plays when her team needed them.
Behind the serving line, Emelia Cole dominated with an impressive 10 aces, while Aria Lee added 5 aces of her own to keep the pressure on the opposing team.
Defensively, Madilyn Maines provided strong play in the back row, helping keep rallies alive and giving the Lady Bobcats opportunities to battle for every point.
It was a hard-fought team victory from start to finish! The Lady Bobcats showed that when they play together and fight for every point, great things happen! 🏐🐾

The 8th grade B team kept the winning momentum going with a three set victory over the Wildcats. Adley Burch(4 Aces), Kyleigh Kresser(4 Aces), Kinzlee Peveto(3 Aces), and Kaydence LeBlanc(3 Aces) were our top servers of the night. Arielle Walters, Adley Burch, and Trinity Spain each contributed at the net, combining for 4 total kills. On the defensive side, serves were received in the back court by Emma Lecea, Raygan Brooks, and Kyleigh Kresser. Overall, it was a well rounded effort with contributions from across the lineup. The Lady Bobcats improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Lady Bobcats had a great game last night and showed tremendous growth on the court! The girls are continuing to build confidence, work together, and stay composed under pressure.
Ciancaglione led the team from the service line with 4 aces, followed by Ou with 3 aces, while Pollet and Ford each added 1 ace. Richard stepped up defensively in the back row, recording a dig and showing strong, consistent serve receive. Roberts and Ciancaglione also brought the offense, each recording a back-row kill!
One of the biggest highlights of the night was seeing these girls truly learn how to work together as a team and stay calm and confident while serving. Their growth, teamwork, and determination were on full display!

Our 8th Grade A team wrapped up the sweep with a 2 set dominating performance win! (25-15, 25-8) Impressive team attacks, totaled 22, with Austyn Spain leading the charge, contributing 2 kills, multiple backcourt saves, and 2 blocks. Lily Traxler continues to deliver on her back court attacks, while Tenley Kibodeaux stays steady in her defense. Kamryn Farias closed the match with her consistent serves, while Rylie Peevey started off the 2nd set with 15 straight serves to give us a 15-0 run the Wildcats couldn’t recover from. These Bobcats are working together and gaining ground together with each match!

Against the Panthers, our Bobcats took the first set , but came up short in the match. Sadie Arrington led in serves, with 5 Aces. Kayla Rios had an attack, while Sophia Trammell and Taylor Quinn contributed on serve receives. 1-1 for the season.

Fueled by determination and team spirit, the girls brought intensity, focus, and heart to the court and it showed in every play! However the Lady Bobcats fell short in the 3rd set. Pollet and Roberts led the team in Serves with Pollet having 5 aces, and Roberts having 4. Ciancaglione led the team in kills for the evening.

8A ended the night with a loss against Anahuac. Rylie Peevey, led in both serves and serve receives in the back court. Maisyn Revia had 2 assists, while Jesse Gautreaux protected the net with 3 blocks. With each game these Bobcats are showing improvement and growth!
