Orangefield High School's Algebra 2, Precalculus, Geometry and Calculus students teamed up to transform a reindeer for the Stark Museum of Art's Reindeer Trail exhibition-- and they gave it a full math makeover!

Our reindeer is decked out in festive Christmas designs that highlight symmetry, colorful parabolic curves, and patterns inspired by derivatives. From swirling graphs to perfectly balanced shapes, every detail was created to celebrate both the holiday season and the beauty of mathematics.

Graph-Dasher, the reindeer, will be on display at the Stark Museum of Art from November 19 through December 20.

Orangefield High School seniors recently participated in the Fourth Annual Interviewing Event held at Lamar State College–Orange. This exciting event provided students with the opportunity to build confidence, sharpen their interview skills, and prepare for their future careers through real-world mock interviews with local business and industry leaders.

The event coincided with LSCO’s Open House, where students explored the campus, learned about the importance of mastering soft skills, and even joined in on the fun with a silent disco.

Orangefield High School extends a heartfelt appreciation to the outstanding community leaders who supported our Mock Interviewing Event. Your time, guidance, and encouragement made a lasting impact on our Orangefield High School seniors.

A special thank you to our amazing partners:
DOW Industries, ExxonMobil, Gentiva Hospice, Omnibus Home Health, Sheet Metal Workers Union 54, Rave Financial, Texas Workforce Solutions, Turner Industries, Lamar State College–Orange, and the Orangefield ISD Administration

Your continued partnership bridges education and industry, empowering our students to become tomorrow’s leaders. We are truly grateful for your commitment to our youth and community.

We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Orangefield with professionalism and enthusiasm as they continue to take important steps toward their futures.
