Tonight at the December board meeting, Dr. McAlpin and the board recognized our December retirees. Ella Bland, our OJH Cafeteria Manager is retiring from OISD after 36 years of service. Wayne LaVergne is retiring after working in our maintenance department for24 years. Both Mrs. Ella and Mr. Wayne will be greatly missed and we are so excited for them and this next chapter!
Monday, at the December Board Meeting, Dr. McAlpin and the Board of Trustees presented Bravo awards to the Academic All State Volleyball and Football recipients, the OHS Varsity Football team for winning the district championship, and to Denise Batchelor for having the Highest STAAR/EOC passing rate in Region 5. Bravo awards are presented to those that consistently choose the quest for excellence!
