DEBATE

The Orangefield High School CX Policy Debate Team attended the State CX Debate Tournament in Austin on March 10th and 11th.  The team of Caleb Smith and Matthew Squires went 2 and 2.  The team of Jennifer Garrison and Elana Newell also went 2 and 2.  Both teams won their first two rounds putting them in power matches in the 3rd and 4th rounds. This is very good for a first state tournament. Both teams worked really hard and learned what it takes to be winners at state.  Next year the girls team will be back to defend their district title.
