 Orangefield
Independent School District is a high achieving academic
institution. The district has received a "Recognized"
rating by the Texas Education Agency. Orangefield ISD
is the only district in Orange County to earn this rating
for the 2007-2008 school year.
A wide variety of
academic levels are offered to the students. Programs for
Special Education, Gifted and Talented, At-Risk, and regular
instruction are offered at all campuses. At Orangefield High
School,
students can choose from the Minimum Academic Program, the
Recommended Program or the Distinguished Achievement
Program. AP and honors courses are available in English,
math, science and social studies. High school students are also able to choose
from a wide selection of vocational courses
and a School to Work
program that offers eligible students the opportunity to
CO-OP in the Summer to prepare for a career in
Welding/Pipefitting. A complete
college preparatory program is available to students.
